evanescence nu e o trupa gothik...  ..e rock..solista se imbrak mai mult gothik
formatiile gothice chiar au legatura cu stilul gothik...exista o anumita eleganta in musik,sunetul foarte melodios(chiar si in gothik metal)...o formatie care cuprinde toate stilurile de gothic(bn nu chiar toate)da orikm ,....e lacrimosa...s-au reinventat dupa fiecare album

Lake of Tears este o trupă suedeză de gotic metal, īnfiinţată īn 1992. Sunt o excepţie īn genul pe care īl practică prin faptul că reuşesc să creeze imagini impresionante fără a folosi tehnici heavy metal īn exces, ci doar printr-o abordare artistică.
Componenţa actuală este următoarea: Daniel Brennare (voce, chitară , Mikael Larsson (bass), Magnus Sahlgren (chitară şi Johan Oudhuis (baterie).
