Avril Lavigne isi va reprezenta tara de origine, Canada, la World Expo 2010, din functia de ambasador. Evenimentul va avea loc in Shanghai, China.
Cantaretei nu i-a venit sa creada ca a primit acest titlu. Pana sa plece in China, Avril Lavigne va fi ocupata cu documentarea si se va gandi la solutii pentru apropierea dintre Orient si Occident, ca un adevarat diplomat.
Nascuta in Ontario, Avril Lavigne a ajuns foarte populara in randul adolescentilor din Asia, datorita pieselor cu mesaj pozitiv.
