My Chemical Romance este o formaţie rock americană fondată īn 2001. Membrii formaţiei sunt Gerard Way, Ray Toro, Frank Iero, Mikey Way, şi Bob Bryar, care l-a īnlocuit pe toboşarul Matt Pelissier.
Īnceputul
Formaţia a fost fondată de Gerard Way şi fostul toboşar Matt Pelissier aproape o săptămānă după atentatul de la 11 septembrie 2001. Gerard a fost martor la actul de terorism de la World Trade Center. Acest lucru i-a marcat viaţa astfel a decis să īnfiinţeze o formaţie. Gerard a scris piesa "Skylines and Turnstiles" pentru a-şi exprimata trăirile lui sufleteşti despre 11 septembrie. După puţin timp, Ray Toro a fost īntrebat dacă vrea să intre īn formaţie pentru că īn acel moment Gerard nu putea cānta cu vocea şi cu chitara īn acelaşi timp.
